School of Companion Animal Science Companion Animal Behavior Counseling Program Specialization in Canine Behavior (288 Clock Hours)

On-line theoretical classes are lead by instructors with PhDs and Masters degress in psychology, biology or animal science or DVM or VMD (veterinary) degrees (except for business and animal welfare courses). 48 Clock Hour online courses can each be completed in 12 weeks from your home computer. A maximum of two courses or 96 Clock Hours may be taken in any given quarter. This program is approved by the Board of the Professional Certification of Association of Companion Animal Behavior Counselors and satisfies their theoretical and practical requirements for professional credentialing. Additional ground-based workshops with animals and clients and a distance-based internship with an certified ACABC member may also be required in order to qualify for professional certification.
