Companion animals are becoming more important to individuals, families and our society as the bond between humans and animals strengthens throughout our world. As a part of our human family, companion animals are worthy of the best possible care we can provide to ensure that they live long, healthy and contented lives.
The mission of the Companion Animal Sciences Division is to improve the well-being of our companion animals by providing students with theoretical knowledge, practical understanding, and field experience in subject areas that include companion animal behavior, reproduction, husbandry, veterinary technology, planned management and protection.
Physicians, veterinarians, psychologists, social workers, educators, occupational therapists, zoologists, ethologists, animal trainers, animal behavior specialists, breeders, shelter managers, governments, NGOs and journalists can benefit from many of these educational programs.
