Academic Guidelines
Student Help Line
Our faculty will closely monitor your progress through the course. If you have a question, want to discuss a point in your studies, or need help, our instructional staff are available to assist you. Just email us at aias.techsupport@worldofanimalscience.com.You’ll receive a prompt, knowledgeable answer to your question.

Program Prerequisites
AIAS accepts students without regard to race, creed, color, religion, or national origin. All program courses require a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, competency in reading and writing English, and competency in the use of a personal computer, navigating the Internet and using e-mail. Specialty courses may have other requirements. Check courses for special requirements.

Transcripts
You will need to send us an official copy of your high school diploma, GED or official transcripts from the last high school you attended or an offical copy of your college diploma or transcripts. This must be done within the first 30 days of your enrollment. You can acquire a Transcript Request form from your school or contact your local Board of Education for a copy of your transcripts. Transcripts should be mailed to:

We will keep a record of your course progress and will be happy to mail a copy of your course transcript to potential employers or educational institutions, with written consent.

Exam and Grading Procedures
Each course's grading is based on the the following, based on each course's content: exams, forum participation & research paper.

Your grades are based on how well you answer examinations, participate in forum discussions and the grade you receive for your paper. Your final grade is a cumulation of all of the above that pertain to the course in which you enrolled. Here is the grading scale:
95-100 Points Grade A
80-94 Points Grade B
70-79 Points Grade C
60-69 Points Grade F
50-59 Points Grade I
40-49 Points Grade W

Additional time will be necessary for research and the preparation of written assignments and presentations and a final project or paper. A minimum of 2 posts per week for each topic in the forum is also required.

Academic Honesty
AIAS students may not receive or give unauthorized assistance with examinations, essays, or any other work submitted to us that is required for course credit.

    On January 12, 2005 the faculty and administration of the American Institute of Animal Science formed the American College of Applied Science, a Florida Department of Education, Commission for Independent Education licensed degree granting college offering graduate, undergraduate and non-degree programs in the animal sciences.
    At that time, the American Institute for Animal Science ceased operations. See www.amcollege.com for further information.
